Personality:
chase is a person who can take some things very seriously while other times he can be a total goofball and have the time of his life. he befriends everyone of all ages, and can get along with most people, the only people he can't seem to get along with is those that don't get along with him and have something against him. chase loves being that person who hasn't quite grown up yet and is still acting like a teenager even though he graduated from high school, but still has no idea what he wants to do in life. so college life has not come up yet for him. chase has this respect that no one can get a grip on how he can be so friendly and helpful to the elderly. it may have been because he lives with his grandparents and sort of learned to respect them and respects everyone else around their age group.
if there was a stranger in town and knew nothing about chase they would have thought he was completely disgraceful and rude, just because he is this total goofball messing around with friends and having the time of his life. he plays jokes on people, but never quite did the dirty tricks that some people have done to get in trouble with. though he does take offense to jokes and tricks that have been done towards the older generations like his grandparents and their friends. he doesn't like to see them hurt in anyway. they basically are the only he has left and doesn't want to lose them.

History:
since he could remember he has loved his grandparents as if they were is real parents. truth be told chase barnaby spencer actually never got the chance to know his parents that well. since the age of four he has lived with his grandparents. his mother's parents as he father's parents wanted nothing to do with raising a child at such an old age. meaning they basically didn't want to raise another child and wanted the peace and quite that retirees received.
the exact reason why chase has lived with his grandparents seemed to be unknown until they actually told him of the tragic night that killed his mother and father. on that night his parents were out on one of their many date nights while little chase was home with a babysitter (they lived in arizona at the time). it was on their way back from their date that they got in a car crash, chase's father was driving and he wasn't drunk or anything since he never drank knowing the price that his own brother took while he was driving drunk. the accident just seemed to be the wrong place at the wrong time, until another car entered the crash and exploded. the passengers of that car were killed as well as chase's parents. the people of the other car had somehow made it out in time to avoid being burned to death. a very tragic night, but chase didn't quite know what to expect since he was only four when it happened. his grandparents flew from los angeles to scottsdale to pack up all of their daughter's and son-in-law's belongings and bring four year old chase home with them. he only thought it would be a short time to spend with his grandparents, not really knowing where his parents were.
chase only found out what really happened to his parents on his fourteen birthday when he got a guitar and the knowing of his parents deaths. chase really didn't know what to expect from it, didn't know how to react to it. it wasn't like he had a sibling that could be there so they both could support each other about this information. chase only had his grandparents. since he had no idea how to react to it since he never actually got the chance to know his parents since he was so young and can barely remember them, that it didn't like phase him a whole lot. as time moved along, he learned to play guitar really well from the lessons that his grandparents paid for. he was able to graduate high school even though he wasn't at the top of his class nor was in the bottom of his class. though as of yet he is still deciding what he should do for the future, but has been working at hot topic since the end of sophomore year of high school.
